Dating Profile Photo Rater

Photo Rater lets you test your Tinder, Hinge and Bumble pictures on real people before your matches see them. Upload a few candidates, choose the gender and age range of the people who rate them, and lead your profile with the photo strangers actually prefer, not the one you like best.

Rated by the people you want to match with

When you upload, you pick who sees the photo: men, women or both, and an age range. A photo that wins with 22-year-olds can lose with 35-year-olds, so test with the audience you are actually dating in. Raters never see your name or location, and you never see theirs.

Scores plus the first impression behind them

Each rater scores the photo out of 5 and can tag the impression it gives, such as friendly, confident, genuine, attractive or stuck-up. The score tells you which photo wins; the impression words tell you why, which is what you need to pick a main photo and order the rest.

How to test your dating photos

  1. Upload two to five photos you are considering for your profile.
  2. Set the gender and age range of the raters to match who you want to meet.
  3. Rate other members' photos to earn tokens that keep your photos in the rating queue.
  4. Compare scores and impression words, then put the winner first.

Tips before you upload

  • Lead with a solo photo where your face is clear and unobstructed: no sunglasses, no group.
  • Daylight beats flash. Face a window or shoot outdoors in shade.
  • Include one full-body photo and one doing something you actually enjoy.
  • Use recent photos. Your date should recognise you from them.
  • Test photos against each other rather than judging any one in isolation.

Questions

Can I choose who rates my dating photos?

Yes. When you upload a photo you choose whether men, women or both rate it, and set an age range, so the feedback comes from the kind of people you want to match with.

Will people from dating apps see my photos?

Your photos are only shown inside Photo Rater to members who are rating, never posted to any dating app or social network. You can delete a photo and all of its ratings at any time.

How many photos should I test?

Two to five at a time works well. Comparing several photos side by side shows which one should lead your profile, which a single score can't.
